Lent and Weight Loss


Are you like the thousands around the globe who use Lent as another time to create a resolution or goal to get you through the year?

There are many people who do just this.  Sure it is a great time to give up all those bad things that you feel you should not have or that you should not be doing, but do you really follow through.

Follow through is the most important part of creating a new habit, no matter what the habit is.  You must practice this habit daily.  Sometimes you may even feel like you have failed.  Do not let one day of “messing up” derail you from all of your efforts.

Whether you are trying something new or deleting something from your life for weight loss or for Lent, the key is to keep going.  One little mistake does not mean that you are a complete failure.  When you pick yourself back up from the dredges of messing up and continue with your goal the next moment or day, you have not given up but have learned a new lesson and taken two steps forward.

Lent is 40 days; that is a great amount of time to create a deep rooted habit.  Keep it up and do not stop.  Remember this is for you to create something powerful within yourself that creates a deep and strong belief.

What was that new goal you have set for yourself?  Are you going strong, or do you need to restart?  Either way, GOOD JOB!  You are improving your health one day at a time.
